Preserving Your Family Memories
DACGS member, Doug Wilke, will share with attendees how to scan your old family photos and documents like a pro. The basics of using a flatbed scanner — pixels, resolution, aspect ratio, and file types — will also be covered. And for your “on-the-go” needs, Doug will show us how to use a great scanning app for your smartphone or tablet. We should mention that the app is FREE. As a genealogist, you will be better prepared to fill in the “dash,” that story between birth and death of our ancestors.
The July meeting of the Doña Ana County Genealogical Society will be conducted online remotely using the ZOOM application.
Without the ability to safely meet in person due to the Covid-19 situation, the July 8th DACGS meeting will be conducted digitally (over the internet) so we may safely observe from home. Members will receive an invitation to join the meeting by email.
If you are not a DACGS member and would like to participate, please send an email no later than Monday, July 6, 2020, to: dacgslc@gmail.com with your request to attend the digital meeting. Attendance is limited to 300.
The meeting will begin at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
