Improve Your Genealogical Research

Mr. Robert Raymond will share with our members how we can make the best use of FamilySearch to improve the success of our genealogical research.  FamilySearch is an incredibly robust website with a great deal of information both of direct genealogical nature as well as the Research Wiki - a fabulous treasure trove of information.  In addition to introducing the FamilySearch website to our members, he will share some tips and tricks on how to find even more information on the website.

Robert Raymond is a deputy to FamilySearch Chief Genealogical Officer. He is a frequent presenter at national, regional, and local conferences. For a decade Robert wrote a top ranked genealogy blog about,, records, and methodology. Robert is a genealogical technologist with 40 years of experience in technology and genealogy. He holds over a dozen technology patents and earned a master’s degree in electrical (computer) engineering from Brigham Young University where he was honored as a Kimball Scholar. He was a member of the Eta Kappa Nu Electrical Engineering Honor Society, and the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. Robert was a director of the National Genealogical Society from 2012 to 2018.

The March 10th meeting of the Doña Ana County Genealogical Society will be conducted online remotely using the ZOOM application.

Without the ability to safely meet in person due to the Covid-19 situation, the March 10th DACGS meeting will be conducted digitally (over the internet) so we may safely observe from home. Members will receive an invitation to join the meeting by email.
